The 1975 series `Ladies and Gentlemen` features portraits of transvestites from a nightclub in New York City called The Gilded Grape. Warhol took the portrait of the transvestites with a Polaroid Big Shot camera and then transferred the image to screen printing. This was the same process he used with celebrities and other famous figures. Warhol told the transvestites to dress and pose the way they wanted. None of them are famous, but Warhol brings out the style and glamor in every portrait.
