Christian Dotremont, poet and co-founder of the CoBrA movement (1948-1951), invented the logogram around 1962, a real calligraphic poem where writing is image.
“In the logograms my writing is free, I don’t care about legibility, and I end up with a” legibility “of” drawing “; I leave the spectator free: he can only see the drawing”.
